Pallet of firewood 1.3 m3 is equivalent to 1.5 stere of wood in terms of calorific value*. *1.3m3 of our high-performance logs on pallets allow you to consume 30% less than wood dried naturally for 12 months or containing 35% humidity. The apparent volume is approximately 1.25 stere but is equivalent to 1.5 stere in terms of calorific value. Mix of hardwoods (ash, beech, oak and hornbeam), kiln-dried, humidity guaranteed under 20% Clean wood, well split, 100% USA. These high-performance logs revolutionize wood heating. Made from the most recommended hardwood species, this wood is kiln-dried to reach a humidity level below 20%.

The night compressed logs have better fire retention than day compressed logs. With the long-lasting log, keep the embers to quickly relight the fire in the morning! These two types of firewood complement each other ideally. Like day compressed firewood, the night compressed log has a very low moisture content: less than 10%.

How are long-lasting logs made?

Steps in the manufacturing of night logs

Considered as a premium firewood, night logs are made through the following 4 steps:

The raw bark is cleaned to remove dust and the outer protective crust
The purified bark is then ground and dried at high temperature.
The manufacturing of night logs starts with mixing the ground bark with sawdust
carefully selected and dried, according to specific proportions.
During densification, the calibrated material is strongly compressed under high temperature, which extracts lignin, a natural component.

Preparation for the night fire:

Make sure you have a sufficient bed of embers to avoid slow combustion and smoke buildup on the appliance glass. Depending on the size of the space, place 2 to 3 night logs, avoiding adding more to prevent overheating. Check the seal tightness to limit air entry and leave a bed of ash to block air coming from below.

Log arrangement:

Place the logs side by side or stacked without direct contact with the glass.

Open the air draft to the maximum to facilitate ignition.
